High Alk and CA in the ranges usually is coincides with ultra low or undectable nitrate and phosphate. Whereas nitrate in the 5-10 ppm ranges I would agree with 7.8 to 8.3.
High alk and CA does not correlate to more grow, however some believe combined with a PH of 8.3, some minor increases due to ions available to corals in the water. Stability is more important than numbers, corals hate change. |
