Another toy, not sure what I'm going to do with it other than a few basic things. I don't want my system reliant on one piece of gear so it's more of a novelty than a necessity I suppose. Nevertheless, hopefully I'll get things switched over next week.
Thats a nice reef toy. I am getting one soon. Nice purchase.

Got the tank drilled for a return line so I could use the internal weir as a herbie drain. I decided not to go with the ghost/synergy overflow as I didn't feel confident in modifying the tank so much. It'll give me another reason to upgrade in the future. Also got the background on, it's frosted glass window tint. Hopefully I don't regret doing it.

Return is temporary I think.

and the overflow plumbing mostly finished, still needs to be tested for leaks.

Looking real nice. Always great to see new builds take shape esp when the right equipment is used!

I really like the idea but I'm scared that I'll regret setting myself up to clean that back pane so thoroughly. Lazy thoughts...

Thanks!

Good looking!

I love the white for the background, but I'm worried about algae growth on it.

Can't wait for it to clear up?

You and me both, but I left plenty of room to clean the back pane of glass so it should be ok. Hopefully I can get some more stuff done today and take a photo or two.

It is a beast in performance, especially at the price point, but it actually has a pretty compact footprint. Perfect for a tank this size with under the tank sump IMO.

Actually it's a female G. Caudovittatus, but very similar besides the price tag.

My thoughts exactly, and I already had to scrape the adhesive off once so I know how easy it will be to remove it should I change my mind. But I will basically be spraying pure ammonia to do it so that would be interesting with a running fish tank.

I bought it because it has a lots of great reviews and because it's quiet, and it of course it matches the sump theme... I haven't had time to set it up so that'll be done tomorrow.

Tank as it sits right now, I still haven't tackled aquascaping but that should be done this week.

Devil's Armor Palys

Can I get some tips on taking top down photos with T5's? I never had an issue with LED's because they were so easy to push out of the way during a photoshoot, but this is proving to be difficult and surely there's an easy way to do this.

Genicanthus caudovittatus and a white tail bristletooth… I like your style!

Are you going to get another one in hopes one turns male. The males are absolutely stunning. One of my favorite fish I've ever owned.

Wow, love the look of this!!!

That is a very promising rockscape. Careful placement of corals and you will have a stunning display in a year!

Is that rock on the RHS blocking the flow? That may be your only issue down the line as coral growth builds up.

Also, love the SPS choices. Some very nice pieces there.

EDIT: just notice it isnt your final scape Its still nice, though.

Hahaha thanks mate, that's literally how the rocks went in from the tank transfers; definitely not how I'm keeping it.

I've been working on the rocks today and have 75% of it completed, mostly just finishing details left. I'm waiting on the water to clear up a bit before I finish it.

Still a little cloudy but you can get the general idea, I will try to update the FTS again soon.

Tower on the left is for a magnifica anemone eventually.
